The Ice Owls
Welcome to the Toronto Ice Owls, a Toronto hockey team of blind and partially sighted hockey players. The team was established in the spring of 1972, making us the world’s oldest blind hockey team.
That extra sound you’ll hear when they play is the sound of the puck. It’s a metal puck 3 times the size of a traditional hockey puck and has bearings inside so players can track the puck when in motion.
Come out and watch us play.
