About The Ice Owls
The Toronto Ice Owls are a recreational hockey team. We bring together people who are blind and partially sighted to come out and enjoy the game of blind hockey.
The Toronto Ice Owls were established in 1972 by two local Metro hockey coaches that wanted to make a difference in the community. Currently, the team is managed and supported by players who are presently playing with the team.
Our goal is to involve people in the sport of blind hockey as well as building a great environment for the players both on and off the ice. We have people of all ages that come out to play. We require that you are at least 16 years of age with some skating abilities before coming out to play.
Over the years, the Toronto Ice Owls have played in numerous benefit games across Ontario raising money for local charities and showcasing the game of blind hockey.
The Toronto Ice Owls play every Sunday at Agincourt Community Center from 11:15am to 12:15pm from October to the end of March.
